I'm here and I'm exhausted. My prefield training went really well. I met about 70 other people who are going out into the international mission field to be interns. They were a great encouragement to me, as was the teaching and training. I am the only one staying in the country... but I'm glad to be here! I feel like I'm in another country based on the diversity in the streets.  Greek, Bangladeshi, Brazilian, and the list goes on. Keep lifting me up in your prayers, that I might be a light to this place and that I would depend on Christ for strength. Because of him, I have no reason to fear.

Right now I'm sitting in the church office. I'm waiting for family I'm living with to get home so that I can move in. The office isn't in the church, however, because the church worships at a Jewish synagogue that they rent.

My Prayer Requests Today:

1. That God would provide housing

2. That the support would come in

3. That the Lord would humble me and teach me to trust him.

4. That I would learn to be myself and share Christ humbly.

5. That God would break down my idols and help me to focus on ministry.

This will be my prayer log during my time in New York City.
